A Sunny Sunday Morning

Good Sunday morning to everyone!! I found what gets two kids (three, if you count my husband) up and moving on Sunday morning: Dunkin Donuts! I never saw three people so excited about a breakfast food in my life. Something to remember in the future, I think.

This past Thursday was Sit and Stitch at the Lazy Daisy, my favorite night of the month! That date is always written into my calendar in ink and I try very hard to schedule everything else around Lazy Daisy night. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but this month I went and had quite a bit of fun. There were not as many people there as there sometimes is, but it was a fun night, nonetheless. I picked up my $15.00 gift certificate to the shop, and promptly spent it. I forgot to take pictures of the new stash, but I picked up Hooked On Ice Cream by Handblessings (the same designer that did the Hooked On Chocolate piece that I did) and a Christmas tree design that I don't remember the particulars of. I will try to remember to get pictures of them so I can show them off. Once again, a big thank you to Kathy for the gift certificate!

On to the stitching news!! Music and Books is almost done!! I finished the back stitching on this last night and now all that is left is the border. That should get done in the next day or two:

Does anyone else do this? I am almost done with this project, so that will be the only thing that I work on until I put the final stitch in. It's like I'm possessed or in a trance or something. I sit there and think, "Must finish this! Must finish this!" Please, someone out there in blog land tell me that I am not the only one who does this.

The next page of the HAED is done:

This page went really quickly. I think that's because it was big blocks of colors, and not alot of confetti stitches and jumping here and there with lots of different colors. There is one more full page to do, and then a partial page of stitching and I will have completed the whole top row. Then I will be able to see exactly how wide this project will end of being. Something about that excites me. It gives me a sense of accomplishment.

I actually start getting the shakes when I get close to finishes a picture lol
Finish a project??? What's is that you speak of? No, really to finish a project is a great feeling especially to frame it and hang it on a wall. Some can be finishes to stand alone but regardless of how they are finished, each and every one has their own sense of pride and accomplishment.
Be always in stitches.

I get the same way when I get to the end of a project - especially if it's a larger one. Although, I guess I do the same thing with the smaller ones because I think they're going to go faster than they do.

Both your pieces are wonderful, but that Panda piece is amazing!!! Those are not the easiest pieces to stitch!

Panda is looking great! And I just LOVE that LHN Music and Books. As for pushing when you are close to a finish I can't say that I do. Sometimes yes and sometimes no. it all depends on whether the piece is a gift or for myself.

I'm glad you enjoyed spending your GC. :) See you in April at Lazy Daisy. I hope.
