The Graduate

It's official. I am now the mother of a kindergartener. Z had his pre-school graduation last Friday and it was so cute. All these little ones, dressed in caps and gowns, singing about moving up to kindergarten. As I was saying good-bye to the teachers at the school it was kind of sad for because I knew I was not going to be going back there. When M graduated from there, Z was a few months old and I knew that I would be back eventually, but this time, well, that part of life is over and now I have school aged kids. Wow! It's a pretty exciting thought.

I finished page 13! Seven more to go! The light at the end of the tunnel is brighter than the light at the beginning, if that makes any sense. I was looking at the pages I have left to do and I was thinking to myself, "Is that all?" It's so nice to feel such a sense of accomplishment from my stitching. When I started it I thought I would never finish, and now look at me! Seven pages from immortality! Okay, maybe immortality if not really the right word, but you get the idea. It's very exciting!

Haven't gotten alot of stitching done this week. Actually, I haven't gotten ANY stitching done this week. M caught this nasty stomach bug last week and, of course, I caught it, too. He bounced back from it just great, but I am having a terrible time getting back on my feet. Yesterday I felt better, and I'm hoping that today is better still. I have to feel better. I'm starting to get tired of feeling icky. I haven't stitched in over a week, but I just haven't felt up to it. We'll see what today brings.
I did, however, manage to get myself into the LNS before getting struck down with tummy troubles and I bought fabric for the HAED. Now, I just have to gather the floss (all two and a half pages of it) and get myself organized.
Well, the sun is shining here, which has been really rare here for the last two and a half weeks as we've had rain for 14 out of 18 days, so I'm thinking that I need to get up and start my day. Have a good weekend, everyone.
