Happy Birthday, M!
Can someone please tell me where the time has gone? It was 10 years ago that MJ and I drove to the hospital to have our first baby. We came home with this little, tiny baby. I remember all of the milestones. Walking. Talking. Pre-school. Getting on the bus for kindergarten. And now M is 10 years old! Where did my baby go? He used to like to hold my hand when would go for walks down to Gram's house. He's too old for that, now. He doesn't even like me to kiss him good-bye at the bus stop.
I had family over yesterday for his birthday and I snapped some pictures of the happy, birthday boy. Sometimes he gives me a silly smile, but I got some nice ones from him this time. He loved the X-box cross stitch that I made for him. He said to me, "I knew you were going to give this to me for my birthday," so I guess it wasn't the surprise that I was hoping for, but he was still really happy with it. He found the "perfect" spot on the wall in his room for it.
Right before he blew out all of those candles I got him to stand still for a picture.
Not a whole lot of stitching got done this weekend as I spend most of it preparing for the family to come over and celebrate with my guy. DH took off from work today and we spent all morning while Z was at pre-school running around doing errands that needed to get done.

Anyone ever been to a place called Bobby's Burger Palace? It's a burger place owned by Bobby Flay and there is one in the local mall. MJ and I somehow got into the habit of going there for lunch if he takes a day off and the kids are in school. If you ever go there, get a milkshake! They are expensive, but worth it. And the onion rings are too die for. Anyway, that was one of the things on our list of things to so today. Have lunch at Bobby's Burger Palace. I promise that you will not leave hungry!

I just bought his new burger cookbook and am really hoping to make it to his burger place one of these days... :)
I'm asking myself the same questions where the time has gone. I have a 9 year old boy and a 6 year old boy. I can't believe time goes so fast.
